Audubon 2020 Top 100 Award

This one is certainly a bucket list item for me -- my Tūī portrait has been honored in Audubon's Top 100 this year! Audubon is one of my favorite organizations for their conservation work, and their photo contest (in my opinion) really sets the bar every year for natural history photography, style, and artistic merit. So needless to say, I'm very honored to have my image selected for the Top 100. This image (shown below), has also garnered other attention recently; it was featured on the cover of Forest & Bird magazine for their 2020 Winter edition.
I've also gotten a positive reception on this image on various social media. This post below I thought was pretty funny (and accurate!).

Like NZ's Forest & Bird, I'm happy to support such an organization and promote avian conservation in the United States. Now to get started on taking some 2021 entries...
